Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Tompkins County (Friedlander, J.), rendered April 23, 1993, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of driving while intoxicated (two counts) and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree.

On December 4, 1991, the State Police responded to a call concerning a car that had been driven off the road in the Town of Newfield, Tompkins County.
