GORDON, Justice:
The appellant Walter A. Owens was convicted of the crime of assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to a term of not less than one and one half nor more than three years in the Arizona State Prison.
The appellant’s first contention is that he was denied his right to a speedy trial under Rule 236 of the Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure apd the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
