Jeffery Person pled guilty to aggravated assault and family violence battery. Person subsequently moved to withdraw his plea, and the trial court denied the motion. Person appeals, and for reasons that follow, we affirm.

The prosecution arose out of an incident in which Person brutally attacked his former girlfriend and threatened to kill her with a gun. Person was initially indicted for battery and false imprisonment in September 2000.
