This case arises out of Plaintiff Direct Mortgage Corporation’s (“Direct Mortgage”) claim for coverage under a fidelity bond issued by Defendant National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA (“National Union”). Direct Mortgage seeks coverage for its liability to third party financial institutions that unknowingly purchased fraudulently-obtained mortgages from Direct Mortgage and then demanded that Direct Mortgage buy back the mortgages under warranty clauses in the purchase agreements.
