Defendant’s previous conviction of rape, burglary, and home invasion was affirmed by this court. (People v. Cihlar (1982), 106 Ill. App. 3d 824, 436 N.E.2d 1041.) Defendant now appeals the circuit court’s dismissal without evidentiary hearing of defendant’s post-conviction petition for a new trial. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 110, par. 72, now Ill. Rev.
