Robert Mems, Nathanial Khaliq, Thurman Smith, Byron Brown, James Logan, and Phillip Webb (collectively “Appel lants”) sued the St. Paul Fire Department (“SPFD”), alleging violations Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e — 2000e-17 (2000) and the Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA), Minn.Stat. § 363.03, subd. l(2)(c) (2000). Appellants claim violations under both disparate treatment and disparate impact theories. The district court granted summary judgment in SPFD’s favor on both claims, and Appellants appeal.
