In a proceeding pursuant to Domestic Relations Law § 72 for *982grandparent visitation, the maternal grandparents appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Westchester County (Colangelo, J.), dated August 17, 2012, which, without a hearing, in effect, denied the petition and dismissed the proceeding.

Ordered that the order is affirmed, with costs.
