The plaintiff, an Hawaiian corporation, brought an action of assumpsit against defendant for the recovery of $2254.08 (afterwards amended to $2434.08), the declaration containing counts for money lent, advanced and paid out by plaintiff to, for, or on account of defendant; for goods, wares and merchandise sold and delivered by plaintiff to defendant; and upon an account stated.
