The trial court granted summary judgment to the defendant, Wichita State University (WSU), and against the plaintiff, Richard J. Schall, in an action against WSU, alleging breach of contract as well as claims made pursuant to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Schall served as the clinical supervisor/coordinator for the Physicians Assistant Department (PAD) at WSU from August 1993, until he was terminated in February 1997, as a result of chronic pain secondary to cervical disc disease.…
