Plaintiff recovered judgment in the sum of $35,000 for personal injuries and property damage sustained in a “sideswiping” collision of his automobile with a motor truck owned by defendant Turner and operated by defendant Chapman in the course of his employment by Turner on State Highway No. 21 near Old Mines,. Missouri, on the night of August 27, 1955,. in which collision plaintiff’s left arm was-amputated.
