Plaintiff doing business in the city of Marion, Indiana, as endorsee sued defendant doing business as City Taxi Cab Company at Charleston, West Virginia, as maker in assump-sit upon seven notes, dated Marion, Indiana, August 6, 1915, payable to the. order of Harwood-Barley Manufacturing Company, the endorser, in ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen and sixteen months respectively, each for the sum of one hundred and forty-nine and 37/100 dollars, at 'Grant Trust and Savings Company, Marion, Indiana, each note showing on its face that it was executed for the sale by…
