POWERS, Justice.

Hays Consolidated Independent School District recovered judgment against Valero Transmission Company for delinquent ad valorem taxes, penalties, interest, and attorneys fees, from which judgment the company appeals. We will affirm the judgment.

THE CONTROVERSY

In an original petition filed June 1, 1983, the school district prayed for recovery of taxes imposed against the company for the tax year 1982, alleging that the taxes had become delinquent when the company failed to pay them by February 1, 1983 after receiving the district’s tax bill.
