WEBSTER, Judge.

In this direct criminal appeal, appellant challenges his conviction for aggravated battery, following a jury trial on charges of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, shooting within a building and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Appellant argues a number of issues, including that the trial court should have granted his motion for judgment of acquittal because the evidence was legally insufficient to support a conviction for aggravated battery.
