INTRODUCTION

This action arises from an injury to an employee of a business that lacked worker’s compensation insurance. The injured employee, plaintiff Elvis Galvao, alleges that the defendant, Catherine Lefas, was an owner of the business, and therefore has strict liability for his injury, pursuant to G.L.c. 152, §66. Before the Court is Lefas’s motion for summary judgment, in which she contends that the undisputed facts establish the absence of any evidence from which a reasonable factfinder could conclude that she was an owner.
