ODOM, Justice.

Paul Picou, a colored boy 14 years, 7 months, and 9 days old, died as a result of a traffic accident which took place on a paved highway on November 15, 1940. His mother, Maggie Picou, a widow, brought this suit for damages under Article 2315 of the Revised Civil Code. 'She alleged that her son was employed by one of the defendants, J. B. Luke’s Sons, a commercial" partnership engaged in a mercantile business, to deliver merchandise sold-by the partnership, and that at the time of his death he was engaged in the business for which he was 'employed.
