Mr. Washburn was employed as an operative in a spool and bobbin mill. Square blocks of wood were supplied to his machine; the fit ones he bored and sent along to be completed; the imperfect he put into a basket to be taken away. Needing another basket, because the one at hand was filled, he started for the opposite end of the room to get it, as was requisite.
