This action, involving important questions arising under the New York State Labor Relations Act (Labor Law, §§ 700-716), was instituted in the Municipal Court of the City of New York to recover the sum of $500 under a contract between the plaintiff, an association of employers engaged in the plumbing industry, and the defendant, one of its members.
