William Crews was convicted in the Circuit Court of Morgan County of burglary in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-7-5, Ala.Code 1975; robbery in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-8-41; and robbery in the third degree, a violation of § 13A-8-43. He was sentenced, as a habitual offender, to two terms of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole and to a term of 15 years’ imprisonment; these three sentences were to be served concurrently.
