OPINION OF THE COURT

NAUGHTON, Judge.

Appellant was tried by a special court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members. Contrary to his pleas, he was convicted of two specifications of perjury, in violation of Article 131, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 931 (1982) [hereinafter cited as UCMJ]. Pursuant to his pleas, he was convicted of being absent without leave, in violation of Article 86, UCMJ.
