Lawrence Edward Thompson, the appellant, challenges the dismissal of this inmate case. We reform the judgment and affirm.

BACKGROUND

The appellant, an inmate of the Estelle Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID), filed a petition in district court naming TDJC-ID as respondent. The appellant alleged his claim was brought under the Texas Tort Claims Act.
