This is a libel in personam to recover the cost of certain repairs upon four scows belonging to tho defendant. It is objected that the court has no jurisdiction of the subject-matter of the suit. The points made against *412the jurisdiction are that the contract for repairing the scows is not a maritime contract; that the scows are not ships or vessels; that they are adapted to use only in port, and not upon the high seas, and that if they are ships or vessels this court has no jurisdiction of a suit in personam for repairs furnished to a domestic vessel.
