This is an action involving the liability of the estate of Carl H. Raseman to the State of Michigan for the claimed unpaid balance of the cost of the maintenance of Robert D. Raseman, an insane person, committed to the Ypsilanti State Hospital.
The parties have stipulated to the facts presented on appeal: On November 24, 1944, Robert D. Raseman, age 21, was adjudicated insane and committed to the Ypsilanti State Hospital by the Wayne County probate court acting upon a petition presented by Carl H. Raseman, Robert’s father.
