He raises three issues on appeal: (1) whether the trial court erred in denying his motion for judgment of acquittal based on insufficient evidence to overcome his claim of an accidental shooting; (2) whether the trial court abused its discretion by excluding the testimony of Dr. Greer regarding appellant’s calm demeanor on the night of the shooting; and (3) whether the trial court erred in admitting hearsay testimony of several witnesses pursuant to the “state of mind” exception to the hearsay rule.
