WELCH, Justice.
Betty Gates obtained an award against Dolton Barnard Hardware Company and its insurance carrier, Hardware Mutual Casualty Company, for temporary total disability. See Dalton Barnard Hdwe. Co. v. Gates, 203 Okl. 268, 220 P.2d 249. That compensation was paid for several years, and up until her death on August 31, 1951. This proceeding was commenced by thé petitioner, hereinafter called claimant, to obtain an award for conscious pain and suffering under the Death Benefits Statute authorized by Constitutional Amendment, 85 O.S.1951 § 1 et seq.
