STEELMAN, Judge.
Defendant is the biological father of the victim, his daughter. The victim had little or no contact with defendant for the first eleven years of her life. When she was eleven, she, along with her mother and brother, moved from New York to Raleigh to live with defendant and his girlfriend. According to the victim’s testimony, sometime in late 2000 she was sleeping in her room when defendant came in and started touching her inappropriately.
