This is an action in conversion by the plaintiffs as holders of a thresher’s lien. The complaint alleges that the plaintiffs were copartners owning and operating a threshing machine in the fall of 1921; that they threshed certain grain for one Carl Kleiner at the agreed reasonable price of $20 per hour; that, after the threshing was completed and pursuant to chapter 91 of the Civil Code for 1913, the plaintiffs caused to be made and filed, in the office of the register of deeds of Ward county, a lien statement for said work; that on or about September 13, 1921, the defendant, being in…
