This is an action upon two promissory notes, each for the sum of $375, executed hy the defendant on April 4, 1913, payable to the order of the Night Commander Lighting Company, a corporation, two years- after the date thereof, with interest. from maturity at the rate of six per cent, per annum. Plaintiff sues as the holder in due course of said notes. The trial below, before the court and a jury, resulted in a verdict' and judgment for the defendant, and the plaintiff has brought the case here by appeal.
