The People contended that the defendant committed robbery when he entered a store, took a number of washcloths, stuffed them into his clothing, and used force as he tried to escape. The People further contended that defendant injured two people with a knife during the encounter. The defendant contended that there was no robbery, that there was a larceny which was completed and that a struggle occurred when efforts were made to capture him.
