The petitioner, R.A., appeals a decision of the Coos County Probate Court (Hampe, J.) authorizing his guardian to admit him to New Hampshire Hospital and consent to his medication. We affirm in part.

The record supports the following. In January 1998, the probate court appointed the Office of Public Guardian (OPG) as guardian over R.A. Michael Feinstein, an employee of OPG, personally served as R.A.’s guardian beginning in late 1999. On November 21, 2005, Feinstein admitted R.A. to New Hampshire Hospital’s psychiatric facility, and also authorized medication for him. See RSA 464-A:25 (2004)…
