This is an action on the case brought by the plaintiff, a creditor of the Pawtucket Steam and Gas Pipe Company, a Rhode Island corporation created by special act of the General Assembly, to enforce certain statutory liabilities alleged to have been incurred by the defendant as a director of said company, under the provisions of Pub. Stat. R. I. 1882, cap. 155, later re-enacted as Gen. Laws, R. I. 1896, cap. 180.
The declaration contains three counts, but the second, since abandoned by the plaintiff, need not be considered.
