The Lawndale Sash and Door Company brought an attachment suit against the City Engineering Construction Company in the municipal court of Chicago. The attachment was dissolved but judgment was rendered against the defendant on June 24, 1916, for $2667.23. Walter H. Eckert represented the defendant in this suit. Subsequently the engineering company instituted suit in the circuit court of Cook county against the sash and door company and Hyman Silverman, the principal and surety respectively in the attachment bond, and on April 11, 1921, recovered judgment against them for $1136.
