This is a proceeding by writ of certiorari to review the proceedings of the board of supervisors of the county of Montcalm with reference to the reconstruction of the court-house, containing the jail and sheriff’s office and other county offices, which was destroyed by fire on the 16th day of February, 1905. On the 27th day of February, 1905, the board met in special session, upon the call *592of the county clerk, upon petition of more than one-third of the members of the board, at Corey’s Hall, in the city of Stanton.
