The plaintiffs’ cause of action, as set forth in their statement and bill of particulars, was the breach of a parol contract made on September 10, 1894, whereby the plaintiffs agreed to provide materials, and construct and put up in the defendant’s hotel a heating apparatus to consist of a furnace, steel boiler, steam pipes and fittings and radiators, for which the defendant agreed to pay $900.
