The questions for decision in this case arise on the demurrer of the respondent to the petition for mandamus filed in this court by the relators. It appears from the petition that the regular convention for the nomination of candidates of the republican party for county offices of Marshall county, to be voted for at the election then to be held on the third day of November, 1896, was held at Lacón, in said county, on the 27th day of August, 1896, and nominated a candidate for each of said offices.
