MEMORANDUM AND ORDERS

HULL, Chief Judge.

This is a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 case in which inmates of the Sullivan County Jail have challenged the constitutionality of the conditions of their confinement. By Order of April 4, 1986, this action was certified as a class action to be maintained on behalf of all inmates confined in the Sullivan County Jail and “workhouse”. Through a series of pretrial and status conferences, discovery, and negotiation between the parties, the issues upon which proof needed to be taken were limited.
