On the 14th day of December, 1937, one Willard Lucas, while engaged in mining coal, suffered fatal injuries by reason of an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment, and died as the result of such injuries on January 12, 1938. He left surviving and wholly dependent upon him for support, a widow, appellee Yerna Lucas, and two minor children, the appellees Norman Burl Lucas and Shirley Mae Lucas.
