(after stating the facts as above). The traction companies, whose contracts Mr. Johnson guaranteed, were companies operating lines of railway in the state of Pennsylvania. The Charles D. Norton Company and Charles D. Norton were dealers in coal, carrying on business in that state, and the object of the guarantee was to secure them in the sale and delivery of coal to the former companies used from day to day for the operation of their several lines.
