The best language is but a mean method of conveying thought with precision. Despite the imprecision of words, however, the purpose of embodying an agreement in a formal document is to substitute a single written declaration, whatever the hazards of its interpretation, for the uncertainties and vicissitudes inherent in an effort to define in any fashion what two parties have agreed upon.
