LEVAL, Circuit Judge:
This is an action brought by Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. (“Oppenheimer”), a broker and dealer in securities, seeking to stay an arbitration brought against it by alleged customers. Oppenheimer appeals from the orders of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Sonia Soto-mayor, Judge. The district court’s order of December 30, 1993, denied Oppenheimer’s motion to remand the proceeding to the New York state court, where it had been initiated.
