After being charged by plaintiff-appellee State with first degree murder and the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, the defendant-appellant, Donald A. Brohimer, pled no contest to and was adjudged guilty of manslaughter and of using a firearm to commit a felony. He was thereafter sentenced to imprisonment for a period of not less than 6 years 8 months nor more than 20 years for the manslaughter conviction and to a consecutive term of 5 years for the use of a firearm conviction.
