In July 1989, seventeen-year-old Rodney Mallory Honor was adjudicated guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to serve life in prison with a minimum mandatory provision of twenty-five years. Twenty-nine years later, Honor filed the present motion for correction of his sentence pursuant to Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.800(a). Relying primarily upon Miller v. Alabama , 567 U.S. 460, 132 S.Ct. 2455, 183 L.Ed.2d 407 (2012), and Henry v.
