Plaintiff Carlo Lanza has filed a petition seeking to open a non pros judgment entered in favor of defendant Ereno Lewis September 27, 1996. For the reasons set forth below, plaintiff’s petition is denied.

PROCEDURAL HISTORY

Plaintiff initiated this action by filing a complaint on July 17, 1992 to which defendant filed an answer with new matter.
