This was a proceeding by bill or petition brought by appellee Woodley, on the chancery side of the Cook county circuit court, to enforce a mechanic’s lien upon certain premises owned by Mrs. Cobb, for work and materials furnished in the building of a house. The owner and other lienholders were made defendants. Cross-petitions were filed by certain.of the defendants claiming similar liens. There were two deeds of trust given by the owner upon the premises to secure borrowed money. The first of these had been made to defendant Head for $2000.
