ORDER ON DEBTOR’S MOTION TO EXTEND TIME FOR DEBTOR’S EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO FILE A PLAN

The debtor’s Chapter 11 petition was filed on October 26, 1982 and an order for relief entered. Under 11 U.S.C. § 1121(b), “only the debtor may file a plan until after 120 days after the date of the order for relief under this chapter.” On March 2,1983, the debtor filed an application (which will be treated as a motion) to extend the 120 days referred to in § 1121(b). 11 U.S.C. § 1121(d) specifically provides that the court may increase (or reduce, if appropriate) this 120-day…
