Appellants, electrical contractors in the city of Chicago, filed their bill in chancery in the circuit court of Cook county against the city of Chicago and certain of its officers to enjoin them from enforcing certain ordinances passed by the city council purporting to regulate the installation and alteration of electrical equipment and requiring the registration of electrical contractors.
