Charles Rublee (Rublee), a federal prisoner, appeals the district court’s dismissal of his 28 U.S.C. § 2241 petition challenging the execution of his sentence. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the decision of the district court.
I. BACKGROUND
According to his petition, Rublee was arrested for a drug offense involving marijuana and was released on bond. After he failed to appear, a warrant for Rublee’s arrest issued. Rublee was located in Colombia, and was returned to the United States where he pled guilty to a single-count indictment charging him with a violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1).…
