The district court denied Antonio James’ petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 in which James sought to set aside his Louisiana first degree murder conviction and death sentence. That court likewise denied James’ application for certificate of probable cause under 28 U.S.C. § 2253. James has filed a notice of appeal to this Court from the denial of his habeas petition.
