CARROLL, Judge.
The appellee S. A. Taran was indicted by a federal grand jury in the State of Minnesota for an offense under the laws of the United States. Released on bond he left the state but returned to Minnesota for trial. While so present, he was served with process in a civil action brought against him by the State of Minnesota for unpaid state income taxes. His motion to *894vacate the service was denied, judgment was entered and he appealed to the Supreme Court of Minnesota. That court affirmed (State v.
