This case is before the court upon an appeal from the order of the district court denying Appellants’ motion for relief from judgment and for a new trial. Appellants Linda and William Harre are a married couple who filed suit against A.H. Robins Company (“Robins”), alleging that Linda Harre became sterile as the result of a defective and unreasonably dangerous intrauterine device (IUD) manufactured and sold by Robins.
