After a verdict of voluntary manslaughter had been rendered by the jury in the criminal prosecution brought against *12Lorenzo Santana for the murder of Julio Dieppa, the defendant applied for a new trial. The court denied his petition on March 10, 1937, and seven days thereafter sentenced him to three years’ imprisonment in the penitentiary.
